Identifying cause of problem with car clutch system?
Recently rented a car on holidays from Car Rental Company. Proceeded from collection point on the 4th floor of carpark out onto a slip road for approx 200 yards.
Smoke billowed out of engine. Had car replaced. Return from holidays to find company had taken €1,200 from my visa account for damage to “clutch system caused by renter”
as opposed to the car being faulty!
I had the car for about 2 mins and I am no novice driver.
Any advice on how i should challenge this payment or my consumer rights would be appreciated.
you should call visa,they have that car insured it comes automatically because you used your card to rent it.
