With the new winter tire law in Quebec, will US car rentals have winter tires?

Last time I rented a car from Enterprise last November, they only use all season tires on their cars and allowed their rentals into Quebec. But now that there is a new tire law in Qc requiring winter tires during winter, will US car rentals stop allowing entrance into Qc or would they equip their cars with winter tires? Just wondering.

As seen on CBC’s Marketplace, winter tires are an added charge on rentals. If your rental does not have winter tires to go to Quebec, you should not be denied entry because the vehicle is registered out-of-province. Enterprise should not be charging you a crossing fee, winter tires or not!
