RE: We are planning steps in the trip to Milford. How does it take to drive from Christchurch?

Our idea is to Rent A Car In Christchurch, the unit and stay on Lake Te Anue and take a bus from there to the start of the tour Milford. Or is there a better way? Finally, there are lockers in the Lake Te Anue travel luggage and others.

The unit will take at least a day of hard driving. The south island is much bigger than people think. My advice is that to drive to Queenstown and take the bus from there to Te Anau to Milford and beyond. The drive around the road. One on the island is beautiful, so I plan on a couple of days to drive.
