Wisconsin. After "The House on the Rock" ..?
… What should I be looking to see? Unusual suggestions welcomed and considered. I plan to fly into Madison from the United Kingdom shortly after the weekend, Labor Day, and Rent A Car For A Week or a little more. The House on the Rock is my main goal, since it seems to be the epitome of this incredible phenomenon, "Roadside America", which, as itself, exerts a fascination strange and terrible. hello …. another place you might want to consider is frank Lloyd Wright Taliesin house is spring green. then you could head Highway 35, which follows along the river Mississippi crossing into Iowa and a boat trip down the river (there is even one that turned into a gambling casino … lol). Then there is the cave of the mounds and the last but at least there are not many Amish communities in the area that is fun to shop (they make beautiful items and especially heirloom quality quilts and wood) … I hope this helps enjoy your trip … Oh and do not forget to bring a light jacket (nights are cold) and shorts during the day time …. Wisconsin remains a bit unusual for this time of year when you get here … do not forget to buy "OFF" mosquito / tick repellent!

I want to keep the cost to 100.00 or less for 4-5 days.
As generalization, I had the best rates Alamo (and usually can find some good discount price with a quick internet search for codes discount). However, I also want to say I have never spent more time waiting in line to get a car that many times in the Alamo! The use of a code Costco discount on my last trip, I rented with Thrifty – this price was better than the Alamo, and my experience was better overall service. However, the reality is, for 4-5 days I do not think you get to $ 100 or less. I think you can probably find a sub-cpmpact in the range of $ 16/day … but once you add tax and other fees? Such time if you go for four days, but not 5. If you are staying on the strip you can probably get by with little and shuttles (although I personally prefer the convenience of a car, even if you do not use it after her.)
